Friendship...

Friendships are wonderful...they are also very complex. I've learned a thing or two about them in the last year...here are some things I know now.

1. Just because someone is moving on to a different chapter of their life doesn't mean you have to quit being friends with them. It may seem that way at times and they might not be in your day-to-day life anymore, but you're still friends.

2. Your friends are going to move on and meet more people and make new friends. It may hurt sometimes, but honestly, you're going to do the same thing...whether you're conscious of it or not.

3. There are different levels of friendships...sometimes you're so close to people that they get on your nerves like family but all you want is to be with them... :P Some people you're just getting to know, but you think they're super cool and want to hang out with them more.

4. Making friends with folks you usually wouldn't talk to can be amazing. They usually end up being really cool people.

5. Sometimes the people you would least expect to be great friends with end up being some of your closest friends...or you just have fun with them unlike you do with anyone else.

6. You can't ever fully let go of your close friends because you know each other so well that you pick up where you left off, go back to old inside jokes, or just tease each other.

(Also, as a Christian, I've found that when I meet other Christians I can almost immediately trust them and it's like I've known them forever. :D )

So there are a couple thoughts. Comments welcome and appreciated. :)
